Emerging From Architecture

The Union Project is a curatorial effort by MA+HG Architects, documenting the architect’s contribution to the exhibition, Emerging From Architecture, as presented by the Burrard Arts Foundation and the Architecture Foundation of British Columbia.

The exhibition highlighted the work of past and present architecture practitioners recognized with the biennial, Emerging Firm Award, as currently awarded by the Architecture Foundation of British Columbia.

This publication includes the entirety of the written and visual catalogue displayed by MA+HG Architects. Serving to daylight the often unseen inner workings of an architectural studio, its pages reveal iterations, revisions, conflicts, and breakthroughs of The Union Project, an award-winning heritage retention and infill residential project in Vancouver, BC. In addition, the architects offer further insight into the planning and design of the exhibition while reflecting on their ethos, The Architecture of Becoming.

With 390 colour exhibition slides.
